1. Spend a weekend attending the US Open.
This site is called Bucket List Nation, so we thought it might be time to start showing items off our master list. Each week we will be featuring ten items that we are adding to our list; these can be adventurous, quirky, romantic, athletic, crazy, basically anything we feel like adding! We will always do a separate post for each item that we cross of our list and let you know our progress throughout the year. If you have items that we should add next week, please leave your suggestions!
2. Visit Venice during Carnival.
3. Take a trip on the Oriental Express.
4. Eat at The Rock Restaurant in the Indian Ocean. This seafood shack requires you to walk, swim, or row a boat depending on the tide.
5. Staying at a cliff-top resort in Santorini like The Sea Captain’s House & Spa.
6. Oakland has become a destination for foodies. We would love to try Homeroom, a concept restaurant that specializes in gourmet macaroni and cheese that can be paired with craft beers. We want to try the Mexican Mac made with chorizo, jack cheese, and chipotle peppers.
7. Find our way through the Dole Pineapple Garden Maze. This two-acre maze was named the largest in the world by Guinness.
8. Swim on the edge at Devil’s Swimming Pool. During the dry season on the Zambezi River, a natural rock ledge forms at the top of Victoria Falls. This has been called the most dangerous infinity pool in the world.
9. Take a flashlight tour of the Winchester Mystery House. Sarah Winchester, haunted by spirits, built this 160-room estate after the death of her husband and child. Unusual parts of the house include stairs that lead to nowhere, rooms that trap you inside, and a cabinet that opens and extends through thirty rooms of the house.
10. Swim at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland.

We would love to have your feedback!

This is so inspiring! I’d love to do all of these… possibly with the exception of swimming at Devil’s Swimming Pool. Not sure I’d have the guts to do that.
We are glad you find this inspiring Kelsi. We will ensure we get you more exciting things to do around the world as we expand our bucket list. Come back here every week to read more!!
Funny. I actually live in San Jose and have yet to visit the Winchester Mystery House. I hear it’s cool to visit it during Halloween. I love food esp mac & cheese, so looks like I need to drive up to Oakland!
Hi Gerard,
Thanks for the support!!
We would love for you to share your thoughts when you end up visiting both these places (we also wouldn’t mind a parcel from Homeroom ourselves)!
Cheers!
Mac n Cheese? Heck yeah! Thanks for sharing about that restaurant. It’s only 45 minutes from my house & now I’m gonna have to go!
Hey Annette,

I love this Bucket List! So many things I want to try out. The Winchester Mystery House is in my neck of the woods and I really should head on and visit.
Hey you should definitely go check it out!! Tell us how it goes and maybe we can add similar tours in our bucket lists.
Have fun!!
Cheers!
WOW, these places are fantastic, I love the sound of that haunted house. And the Icelandic lagoon – I wanna go there!

I live in Oakland, and I love Homeroom. It is close to my school and my friends and I often go there for lunch. The mac and cheese is amazing, and it’s so much fun to get a different flavor each time. I recommend the Goat Cheese Mac with peas and bread crumbs! Also you should try their peanut butter pie. It’s to die for.
